20th Aug - 24th Aug - Bogota, Colombia

We kept meeting people who insisted we can not visit Colombia without going to one special restaurant..it was just outside Bogota called Andres Carne de Res.
We decided to give it a try, a meal to celebrate the engagement!
Everyone told us to book a table for 5pm and people dont plan to leave untill 3am. The restaurant is in a town an hour away from the capital where the only good thing to do is visit this place. We were both saying it would be good to get there early so that we can enjoy our food while its quiet and then drink the rest of the evening... we walked through the door and the place was packed like it was 9pm, it had a crazy atmosphere. Everything in there has been hand made, no two things exactly the same. It seats over 1000 people I think but there are so many different areas it doesnt feel that big. They have tuk tuk type buggies to deliver the food from the kitchen because the resaurant is spread over such a large area. There was a shop so you could buy similar things to what was in the restaurant. The food was amazing. Theres different performances that go on around you, its like being at a festival. By about 10 o clock it turns into a nightclub with everyone dancing on the tables. We ended up having a lift home with our new friends, their cheuffer came to pick us up in his hummer. Perfect end to the night. Ha.

Random performers wandering passed our table...

Do we really need a bottle of vodka after the two bottles of wine?

Things got slightly out of control!
